Symantec announced the availability of their new antivirus and anti-malware program suites including the new version of Norton AntiVirus 2009.

Recently the following new antivirus software applications have been released by Symantec delivering the completely new experience to the new and existing Norton customers: Norton AntiVirus 2009, Norton Internet Security 2009 and Norton 360 Version 3.0.

All packages now include Rapid Pulse Updates that automatically download virus definitions from Symantec server every 5 to 15 minutes to ensure top-notch protection from even the freshest viruses that are spreading thorough the Internet on a daily basis.

Also the recently discovered Conficker Worm can be detected and removed by the mentioned antivirus software from Norton.
