AT&T released a new 3G smartphone
AT&T has just released a new 3G smartphone with a touchscreen.
The new device by Samsung comes with the name Epix and is an enterprise-class smartphone that will be marketed in the US via AT&T sales chain.
Dimensions of the new device are 4.56 x 2.41 x 0.51 inches and Epix comes with advanced touchscreen capabilities that allow easy finger navigation. The phone supports tri-band HSDPA (850/1900/2100 MHz) and quad-band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) frequencies.
AT&T reported that the phone is able to make and receive calls in more than 200 countries around the globe that will give frequent travelers a huge compatibility boost across networks.
The Samsung's Epix come with a 2.5-inch TFT color display and a couple of function keys and is equipped with 256MB ROM and 150MB of RAM memory; a Bluetooth 2.0 chip featuring stereo headset support; Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) radio; A-GPS geolocation; a 2.0-megapixel camera/camcorder; and a microSD expansion card slot.
