New Canadian mobile network to be launched
Quebecor Inc., a Canadian media company announced last ween, that they are planning to launch a new wireless network to compete with existing mobile operators.
Quebecor announced they are planning to spend as much as C$1 billion ($800 million) over 4 years to launch a mobile phone network.
The company officials reported they are aiming to launch the network in 18 months at the latest.
The new venture will create about 1,000 jobs in Videotron.
Quebecor also reported they have decided to work on Nokia Siemens Networks to build the mobile network.
