A new flaw found in Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Corp. has released a patch on Thursday that secures critical vulnerabilities in Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Patch with the number MS08-67 resolves a flaw in the server service that has been discovered in all currently supported versions of Windows.
The vulnerability is also known to affect previous versions of Microsoft Windows. System administrators and users are strongly encouraged to apply the patch as soon as possible.
Also Symantec reported they have found the flaw in their BugTraq ID 31874.
The vulnerability makes it possible for an attacker to hijack an affected system and gain administrator rights.
