Symantec announces a new version of Norton AntiVirus
Cupertino, California
Today Symantec has released the new version of Norton AntiVirus 2009 to the public.
The new, enhanced version costs around $40.00 retail and includes a bunch of improvements including shorter scans, quicker loading and lower system resource usage.
NAV 2009 now includes Norton™ Insight that reduces file scan times, by whitelabeling trusted files and omitting them during scan time.
Definitions are automatically updated every 5 minutes without user's interference and all malware and viruses are automatically blocked during normal work (resident protection).
NAV comes with anti-bot protection so that your PC is no longer vulnerable to remote attacks from hackers using bots to hijack computers connected to the Internet.
You can even scan disk files during idle times so that Norton AntiVirus generates no visible impact on your PC's performance.
