USB memory stick as a security lock for a PC
The engineers at Makers Local 256 have designed a USB stick that can be used as a security lock to gain access to a PC.
Every USB memory stick comes with a unique serial number that is used by the lock to identify the owner of the machine. The key cannot be copied across devices and thus is deemed as a good identification method.
After user has inserted the USB memory stick computer compares serial ID to list of valid serial ID in a database or file and grants or denies access to the user.
